EDUCATION: The Mission of Cowgirl U

Cowgirl U began with the question: “How can we share the mission of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame beyond its physical walls?” After much thought and planning, Cowgirl U was born. As one of the primary educational programs of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, Cowgirl U follows its mission of honoring and documenting the lives of women who have distinguished themselves while exemplifying the pioneer spirit of the American West. 
 
Cowgirl U is not just for women and girls. Men are encouraged to attend as well, and we offer courses open for those 12 + during the year as well. At Cowgirl U, you gain authentic insight into the world of cowgirls, regardless of your age, gender or level of experience. 
 
In addition, the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame has K-12 programming in the form of video conferences, professional development, and classroom curriculum (which is aligned to TAKS). Please visit our Museum website for more information. www.cowgirl.net
