Where in the World is Cowgirl U?

Cowgirl U is a program that incites more passion than any other adult programming offered by the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame; with a recent study of the program, the Museum plans to continue to be able to bring to you the stories of the Honorees who helped shape the West, and those who are continuing to do so today. While no programs have been planned for this Spring, please continue to check the web site for updates, and look for updates by email.

Welcome to Cowgirl University, a place where you can learn the ropes of the Western lifestyle. Whether or not you have extensive experience in the saddle, Cowgirl U features hands-on courses that will expand your knowledge and leave you wanting more. Our mission is to offer dynamic workshops, classes, retreats and demonstrations dedicated to sharing the Western lifestyle with a broad audience both inside and outside the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame by utilizing its most important resources: the Honorees.
With more than 186 Honorees inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame, there are countless stories to be heard about women of the West. Cowgirl U offers you the chance to hear some of those stories while learning basic and advanced Western skills from some of our living Honorees. Cowgirl U is not just another themed program with a cowgirl twist. Cowgirl U is the real deal, bringing experienced cowgirls and cowboys to each event as mentors and instructors. These women are not weekend-cowgirls but life-long cowgirls. It is their example from which you will gain new understanding about Western culture.
 
Since its inception in 2005, women, men and children from across the nation have enjoyed participating in Cowgirl U adventures covering a range of topics from roping to ranching to chuck-wagon cooking. Cowgirl U embodies the true spirit of the cowgirl and encourages the camaraderie expressed between those living the Western lifestyle to grow and flourish in your own lives.
 

Cowgirl U is special because it not only teaches you skills related to Western culture, it immerses you into “Cowgirl Culture.” When you register for a Cowgirl U event, you immediately become part of the Cowgirl U Alumni, a group of like-minded individuals who, just like you, want to learn more about this incredible way of Western life.
